Detailed information

Your tasks:

You develop, maintain and optimise modern web frontends for our stationary and mobile ticket vending machines as well as associated portals and self-service applications (HTML5, CSS/SCSS, TypeScript/JavaScript).
User-friendly, high-performance UI design that works reliably across different devices is part of your day-to-day work; you naturally apply modern UX/UI principles such as clear information architecture, consistent interactions and highly legible typography - for intuitive use by passengers and operators.
Connecting frontends to existing backend and ticket machine systems as well as REST APIs for communication with our platform and backend services is standard practice for you .
In close collaboration with the specialist departments, you translate requirements into clear interface concepts and deliberately incorporate your UX/UI intuition; at the same time, you structure and encapsulate the frontend code (e.g. component architectures) to ensure reusability, maintainability and extensibility.
Contributing to the introduction and further development of a consistent design system/style guide (e.g. component libraries, reusable layout and UI building blocks) and ensuring a consistent look and feel across all applications is part of your everyday practice.
You confidently use modern tools in the frontend development process-such as build tools, linting, testing or bundlers-and integrate them into our CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub workflows/actions) .

Your profile

You have a completed degree in computer science, media informatics, software engineering or a comparable qualification in web development, as well as several years of experience in the development of web frontends with TypeScript/JavaScript.
You have a strong command of HTML5, CSS3 and SCSS/SASS and apply modern CSS concepts such as Flexbox, Grid or BEM in a targeted manner; hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g. Angular, React or Vue.js) rounds off your technical expertise.
Working with REST APIs, designing and connecting interfaces, and using common frontend build and toolchains (e.g. Webpack, npm, linting) as well as testing frameworks such as Jest or Karma are among your technical strengths. You use Git, GitHub, pull request workflows and CI/CD pipelines confidently.
You stand out for your strong understanding of user-centred UX/UI: you derive wireframes or flows from requirements, structure interfaces logically and pay attention to consistency, readability and usability.
Basic knowledge of modern backend architectures (e.g. microservices, event-driven) as well as constructive collaboration at interfaces with backend colleagues are part of your professional approach.
You are characterised by analytical thinking, a structured way of working and self-motivation; strong teamwork and communication skills, curiosity about modern technologies-especially AI tools such as ChatGPT or GitHub Copilot-and enjoyment of actively sharing knowledge within the team round off your profile.
